About the Seattle Angina 7 Questionnaire

The 7-item Seattle Angina Questionnaire (SAQ-7) is a shortened version of the original 19-item SAQ. It generates the same scales as the full SAQ (Angina Frequency, Physical Limitations, Quality of Life and Summary Score), except for the Symptom Stability and Treatment Satisfaction scales. It is highly correlation with the original SAQ, as described here: https://www.ahajournals.org/doi/10.1161/CIRCOUTCOMES.114.000967.

It was designed to decrease the response burden on patients to make it much more feasible to use in routine clinical care. On average, it takes 2-3 minutes to complete. It has been endorsed by the International Consortium on Health Outcomes Measurement to measure the value of coronary care.
